Homemade wholemeal wraps, cooked in pan so the wrap crisps up and the cheese melts – a quick, nutritious lunch.
Makes approximately 2 wraps
Preparation time is approximately up to 10 minutes
Cooking time is approximately 10 minutes
Ingredients
2 wholemeal wraps
2 slice of ham (1 per wrap)
2 handfuls of grated mozzarella cheese (1 per wrap)
¼ teaspoon olive oil / vegetable oil
How to make cheese & ham toasted wrap
Place wrap on chopping board and lay a slice of ham on wrap
On top of the ham sprinkle grated cheese
Fold wrap up from the bottom in to the centre, then from one side, the other and then the top the ham and cheese will be wrapped in an ‘envelope’
Spread base of pan with oil, then heat it to high temperature.
Reduce to medium heat and pop wraps in pan and cook for a few minutes, keep checking to ensure they don’t burn
When the outsides are browned, carefully remove from heat.
To Serve: Delicious with a green salad
HINTS & TIPS
Don’t have heat too high otherwise wrap will burn on the outside before cheese has melted.
Careful when you bite into these wraps as contents do become very hot.
